How To Buy A Guitar
What Type Of Guitar To Play
The first thing you need to do is descide what type of guitar you want to
play. For the sake of this article we will examine 2 types. Electric and
Acoustic.
What is the difference between electric and acoustic? The basic answer is
noise level. Electric guitars plug into an amplifer that then emits the
sound you hear when rocking out. Acoustic guitars rely on their own
reverberations to produce the rich sound they make. Acoustic guitar is the
normal place beginers start, this is probably because they generally cost
less, and because most people dont want to amplify their aweful first tries
at guitar. However, electric guitar does have the advantage of not hurting
your fingers as much, as the strings are smaller and easier to push in.
There is classical guitar to prevent hurting fingers as well, but I wont go
into classical in this article. So here are the pros and cons of electric
guitars vrs acoustic guitars as a beginner
Acoustic Pros
Generally Cheaper
Can be modified to play through an amplifier
Quieter as to not annoy those around you

always)
