She has been stepping it up round after round and looks to be the front runner for winning the contest. With an acappella version of Aretha Franklin's Natural Woman in round 3, she was able to make her way into the semi finals. This next round the contestants will all have piano accompaniment along with them, which will further add t o the great music that has come out of this competition already. I'd suggest tuning in for the upcoming semi-finals as you'll be able to catch a glimpse of some great up and coming talent, not only Keeley, but the other three as well! Data Shows Modest Tequila Downloads on iTunes Store

Tila Tequila has the most friends on MySpace with nearly 1.7 million, but that popularity has not yet translated into meaningful iTunes purchases. According to data relayed by media tracking firm BigChampagne, the Tequila single, "I Love U," has delivered a lackluster performance so far. In a conversation with Digital Music News on Monday, BigChampagne chief executive Eric Garland pointed to iTunes sales volumes that were "in the thousands," though exact figures were not disclosed. Since its release in late February, the single has failed to cross into the top 50, though it did break the top 100 barrier shortly after its release. The best chart position came on March 1st, when the single danced into the 52nd slot. That performance follows heavy online promotional activity from Tequila, including a large amount of dedicated real estate on the artist's MySpace page.

The modest result deflates some of the optimism surrounding the potential power of a MySpace artist. Whether Tequila is the perfect guinea pig remains unclear, and other experiments may be needed to truly assess the terrain. Meanwhile, questions surround the track itself, which may lack the punch of a bona fide hit. Still, deeper questions are lingering, including the willingness of MySpace users to purchase music. The Tequila friends list may contain some demographic surprises, particularly on the male side, though a heavy percentage skew

Cnn is reporting that Carrie Underwood will likely release a new album. long with releases by Kenny Chesney and Big & Rich, the most anticipated country album this fall might be Carrie Underwood's "Some Hearts." The 22-year-old Underwood became the fourth winner of Fox's "American Idol" TV series in May, and the country music industry is hoping that she'll help reverse a 10 percent slide in sales this year -- that her popularity with the show's nearly 30 million viewers will translate into sales. "Look at all the exposure she's had. You'd expect it to be a lot like Kelly Clarkson," said Bill Kennedy, vice president of sales for Capitol Records Nashville. Clarkson, the first "American Idol" winner, has had six top 10 singles and two albums in the top 5. Her first album, "Thankful," debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's album chart in 2003. Underwood, who has a big, full voice like one of her country music heroes, Martina McBride, released a pop single in June, "Inside Your Heaven," that was chosen for her -- or for whomever won for that matter -- by "American Idol" producers.

A recent tour stop brought Audioslave to Winnipeg, Manitoba where the put on one hell of a show! The near capacity crowd was on their feet for the entire 2 hours of the show. Audislave covered a lot of material throughout the night with many songs off their new album, Out of Exile, as well as off their self titled debut album. Not to mention covering some SoundGarden and Rage Against the Machine tracks. Some of the highlights were Chris Cornell breaking into an accoustical session with a great rendition of Black Hole Sun in which the entire audience was drowning out his voice while they sang along. While the special effects were minimal, the band more than made up for it with a stellar performance, amazing guitar work and a clean, clear and crisp sound. If you have the chance to see Audioslave in person, it is definitly worth the price of admission. A big two thumbs up for these guys and the show they put on!

Tired of spinning the same stuff in your cd player? Skipping over the same old songs on your IPod? If you haven’t already discovered Matthew Good, you're not alone. Matthew Good was the lead singer of the Matthew Good Band, a western Canadian band that got high acclaim in the Canadian music world. However, the Matthew Good Band never broke into the American music market, and was never therefore considered a popular band. Matthew Good is now doing solo projects (backed up by a few of the members from the band). During its peak the Matthew Good Band had some amazing songs. Hello Time Bomb, Jenny, Middle Class Gangster, Rico. Matthew's voice is haunting and solid, leading to some amazing melodic music. He backs up his strong vocals with an array of hard rocking guitars and booming drums. If I haven’t sold you on at least investigating this band/singer, I probably never will. If you like Rock, and you appreciate strong vocals, give them a try.

Now that the Brooke Burk hour is over, and JD Fortune is the new lead singer of INXS, one can only wait for the new season of American Idol to come online to fill the gap between tv music talent shows. Nothing new is happening in the world of Paris Hilton.. I havent heared her single on the Radio, so I assume that is not happening any time soon, thank goodness. The only way Paris will sell albums is if Paris Hilton is nude on the cover of her album.. But then again, Lindsay Lohan managed to sell a few albums. Well, there are other things going on in the music world. For example Our Lady Peace is touring in support of their new album, Healthy in Paranoid Times. Simple Plan has released a new live CD called Hard Rock Live. Greenday is working on a new DVD. Kayne West is hosing Saturday Night Live this weekend with the 40 year old virgin. I see a Mike Meyers reaction to his comments at the Hurricane Katrina benefit concert parody. So what else is happening in music. Rumor has it Madonna is releading a new CD soon. Cynthia Lennon, John Lennon's Ex wife (they were going before the beatles existed) has a new book out about John and her son Julian. The book delves into the physical abuse she suffered, and the realationship between John and his son Julian. Well, if you are a music fan and hate the rest of the bands/singers mentioned in this news flash, you should know the following epitaph bands are touring. So check them out for some good music: Bad Religion Blac

Xtina happy for Britney! Christina Aguilera is doing her darndest to make sure people know that she's happy -- nay "thrilled" -- for new mom Britney Spears. Just a few weeks ago, the big-lunged belter dismissed as "lies" a report that quoted her as saying her onetime rival had "let herself go" and probably wouldn't experience a comeback. Now, Christina is expressing her delight at the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Federline's little bambino. "My assistant came in the room when it happened and she's like, 'Britney had a boy!' and I was like, 'Oh my gosh!' I don't know where I was for a while when she was pregnant but it really kicked in at that point," Aguilera excitedly tells MTV News. "It's like, wow, she had a baby! That's crazy! I'm overjoyed and thrilled for her." Christina also said she has sent a card to the new mother. Awwww.

Rod Stewart looses court case over missed show. Stewart must now return a $2 million dollar advance, plus interest, for the nixed Dec. 30, 1999 show, which was to have taken place at the Rio casino-resort on the Vegas Strip. "We felt it was only fair," he said, "that if Mr. Stewart didn't perform the concert that he should give the money back." Stewart, who testified in his defense last week, said he was unable to sing that night because he hadn't fully recovered from a throat operation for thyroid cancer several months prior to the gig.
